Halloween Parade!
Indian Landing Bus Loop
At NOTE from Mrs. Ware:
All parents are invited to join us on the bus loop Tuesday, October 31st at 2:15 p.m. to enjoy the Annual Indian Landing Halloween Parade. The parade is weather permitting. In the event of rain, the parade will take place in the gymnasium. Please keep in mind the following guidelines pertaining to the Halloween Parade—
· Costumes should not be worn to school. Please label all part of your child’s costume and send it to school in a separate bag to keep all the pieces in one place.
· We kindly ask that face make-up, paint, or props of a violent nature be left at home.
· Violent, bloody or overtly scary costumes are not considered appropriate for the school environment.
· Students are encouraged to make a literary connection to their costume as there are princesses, cowboys, super-heroes, witches, ghosts and many animals in our favorite storybooks.
If you plan to sign your child out after the parade, we ask that you please send in a note ahead of time as it will expedite the dismissal process. This year, all pick-ups after the parade will take place in the gymnasium. We will provide specific details on the procedures closer to the parade date.
For those families who do not wish their child to participate in any Halloween activities, there will be alternate activities in the library with our School Counselor, Miss Greeno. Please contact Karen Conte at 249-6910 in the main office to make arrangements for an alternate activity.
